Bought a food processor with broken belt, ordered this one, it was loose and would jump off the big wheel. But it was nearly right so I made it work this way: 1. Turn the belt around so that the longitudinal rib rides in the groove on the big wheel. The natural lay of the belt is with the lateral ribs inside, but that won't stay on. 2. It's still loose. The motor pulley was bare metal with grooves. I am not sure if it should have a rubber tire on it or not. Tried making one with small rubber bands but it was lumpy and noisy. Tried again with thread wound many times and fixed with model cement. Had to fill the pulley almost to the flange rim, but got it done. Has been fine since.

Two things you have to do to make this belt work: the motor pulley, if bare metal, needs to be built up. I wrapped it with cotton thread until the grooves were filled and then some, but leaving some flange, then tacked the thread in place with nail polish. The other thing is the belt jumps off the big wheel if you put it on with its natural curl (cross-ribs on the inside). Turn it out so the longitudinal ribs engage the single rib on the center line of the wheel. Turn it a couple of times by hand to confirm it is centered and seated. Then it stays on. I'm getting good grip.
