I don't know about you, but I always seem to break this thing, or my girl friend decides she's going to help me clean up after a few rounds of rum smoothies and she always drops the glass picture and breaks the bottom cap. Could it be too much rum? What ever the cause, these things crack and this is the best price I've seen for this item so now I buy two at a time so I can still use the blender while I'm waiting for my order. Oh, and by the by, Goodmans always handles my orders promptly and I'm perfectly happy with their service, but I just wish someone would make this unit in Metal, so my klutsey girl friend wouldn't keep breaking it on me!

I have tried two of these on my stainless steal blender jar. These have 5 nubs when my original has 3 larger nubs on the outside. These from mexico are not manufactured correct, they do not fit as the threads are not the same as the original piece. I put some lubricant dish soap and hardly, hardly, hardly may have it on where it will not leak, I have not tried it yet. It may never come off again. The threads are not the right threads, the Mexico manufacturer skimped on material and made the piece smaller not as tall and so the threads are tighter, closer together and may not fit on yours at all, as the first one did not. The second one I scraped the threads with a knife so I could use it until I find an original correctly made bottom piece. These two are shorter than my original one about 1/8 or 1/16 of an inch just eye balling it. My old cap goes on and off real easy.
